Hey, Halo’s Fans! Welcome back to Fanmail Friday, where you guys ask questions and the team at InsideHalos provides you with answers. I’m honored to once again be answering your questions, so let's get started.

Q: What free agent SP would you like to see the Angels go after? [@devin_rodgers_]

A: A name that comes to mind is Griffin Canning. He came off the best season of his career just one year after leaving the Angels. Unfortunately, it was cut short due to injury. But his ERA through his first 12 starts is nothing to squawk at. It’d be nice to see a familiar face come home.

Q: Outside of a new owner, what is 1 move (in any aspect of the team) that MUST be made? [@modeltrains4life]

A: A contract renegotiation for Anthony Rendon. For the amount of baseball he’s missed, the Angels deserve a shot at working to pay him significantly less money. This will lead to endless possibilities with so much more money freed up.

Q: What should we look forward to next season? [@carlos17vega]

A: An even better season from Zach Neto. If he keeps up his trend of 20-20 seasons, he could go down as an underrated MVP vote-getter. With his progression, it's very likely he’ll go 30-30. As the future of the franchise, he’ll be hard to miss once he produces in 2026.

Q: Do you think that Denzer Guzman will have a chance to play 3B full time next season? [@nogui_munguia10]

A: Not full time, especially with the circulating rumor of O’Hoppe moving to third, which is something I really want to see. In the minors, Guzman has an OPS below .700, which might not cut it in the big leagues. He’s only 21 with five seasons under his belt, so a little time in the minors or bench won’t hurt him at all.

Q: Should the Angels pursue Bader/Bellinger/Grisham as CF? [@coolbrad124]

A: I’m iffy on the first two, but it’s a hard no for Grisham. He’s had one good year after many horrible seasons. He batted below the Mendoza line three years in a row before 2025. If we negotiate with him, he’s going to want a long-term deal worth a lot of money, which is something the Angels should refrain from doing ever again. Need I remind the fanbase of Josh Hamilton, Albert Pujols, and the one we have now?

Q: LeBron or Jordan? [@eminemz-egonz]

Jordan, he has three professional home runs. Lebron has zero. In fact, let’s list every stat Jordan leads in:

  • Runs

  • Hits

  • Doubles

  • Triples

  • Homers

  • RBI

  • Stolen Bases

  • Walks

  • Batting Average

  • OBP

  • Slugging-%

  • OPS

  • Many many more
