Angels Top Prospects We Could See Make Their Debut In 2026

Angels Prospects

November 30, 2025 - Written by Brayden Zielke

#1 Prospect - RHP Tyler Bremner

Tyler Bremner, who the Angels took 2nd Overall in this past draft, has yet to play in the Minor Leagues. However, we know that the Angels don’t mind progressing their top draft picks through the minors very quickly. While I have my doubts that we will see Bremner this season, it can never be ruled out.

#3 Prospect - RHP George Klassen

The Angels acquired George Klassen at the 2024 trade deadline as part of the Carlos Estévez trade. Klassen had a great 2024 season between the Phillies and Angels minor league systems, but struggled to the tune of a 5.22 ERA between AA and AAA with the Angels in 2025. If Klassen impresses in 2026, don’t be surprised to see him come up due to injury or as a September call up.

#7 Prospect - OF Nelson Rada

Nelson Rada has been quite impressive over his 4 minor league seasons, and he is only 20 years old. Rada has 171 stolen bases to go along with a .273 average in his minor league career. Rada is fast and extremely athletic, which could help him secure a spot on the Angels Opening Day roster.

#20 Prospect - LHP Samy Natera Jr.

Samy Natera Jr. has had an up and down career since he was drafted by the Angels in 2022. He started his career in 2023 as a starter, where he had a 4.76 ERA as a starter in A+ and AA. Natera was great in 2024, but only pitched 15 innings due to a sprained elbow. Natera’s career found new life as a permanent relief pitcher in 2025. He spent most of the year in AA and had a 2.84 ERA in 49 relief appearances. Natera’s main concern is that he walks a lot of hitters, but his high strikeout rate should help his case to become a major leaguer in 2026.

#22 Prospect - RHP Joel Hurtado

Joel Hurtado was one of the Angels strongest starters in 2025. He started 19 games between AA and AAA and had a 2.75 ERA. He bounced back from a 2024 in which many critics called for him to be moved to the bullpen. His strikeout numbers weren't great in 2025, so we could see some more time before Hurtado is given the call, but it definitely wouldn’t be a shock to see him sometime in 2026.

#24 Prospect - RHP Walbert Urena

Walbert Urena, like many others on this list, played in both AA and AAA this season. He had a 4.34 ERA across 28 starts this season and was extremely durable. I could see someone like Urena get called up to be a long reliever who occasionally starts, a role similar to what Carson Fulmer did in 2025.
